Uses of Cedarwood Himalayan Essential Oil

Often used in household products, such as detergents and soaps.
May be used as a fixative for perfume, especially for men.
Add pure as a part of a blend to water diffuser or vaporizer and breathe deeply to enjoy its woodsy sent.
May be added to blends to help the appearance of dermatitis, eczema, oily hair, and other skin issues.

Cedarwood Himalayan is easily confused with other cedars. All one has to do is start researching this oil and you will see what we mean. It is often grouped with Atlas Cedarwood, which is from the same family but a different botanical (cedrus atlantica). The two oils are similar so be sure of which cedar you need.

This particular botanical is sometimes hard to find.

History and Background

Some believe cedar is the first oil to be extracted. The Egyptians used it in their embalming solution, cosmetics, and perfumes.

You will find it in the eastern part of the world being used for bronchial and urinary issues. The Tibetans still make temple incense using Cedarwood.

Physical Description

This Cedarwood's color varies from yellow to a rich orange color. A fairly thin oil, it is easy to blend.

Aromatic Description

If you love opening a cedar chest, you'll love this oil. The soft, woodsy, warm scent is delightful!
