Cosmetic Chemist / Product Lead

We are seeking a Cosmetic Chemist / Product Lead to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of a growing and independent beauty brand. You will oversee the formulation, production and quality control of our products, pertaining to both current catalog and new products to be developed.


  • Maintain and develop product formulations that comply with company's natural standards
  • Coordinate daily activities pertaining to the manufacturing of products, including batch size requirements, determining unit quantities, sampling, testing and quality assurance
  • Perform stability testing and troubleshoot unstable formulas to ensure commercial feasibility
  • Participate and lead discussions on raw ingredient sourcing
  • Monitor and maintain ingredient inventory levels
  • Maintain past product sample inventory
  • Create and adjust lab R&D documentation, including product formulations/revisions, specification sheets
  • Lead new product development initiatives - R&D, formulation, sourcing, testing, troubleshooting, revisions, communication, and roll out
  • Develop and maintain, with assistance from executive team, a new product launch schedule
  • Manage and delegate tasks to Product Associate employee
  • Track trends of product ingredient innovations and what's happening in the beauty, cosmetic and skin care industry
  • Inspect all materials and equipment to detect malfunctions
  • Adhere to all sanitary and safety policies and procedures


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in developing products in the Cosmetic, Beauty, or Skin Care industries
  • B.S. or M.S. in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering or related scientific discipline
  • Working knowledge and understanding of emulsion techniques, thickeners, surfactants, actives, natural preservation systems
  • Creative thinking, technical writing and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of cosmetic industry product development norms and process (R&D, QC, ingredient sourcing, etc)
  • Knowledge of production tools and equipment
  • Ability to work on concurrent projects while meeting deadlines
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Warehouse & Product Assembly Associate

The Warehouse Operations Associate position is an opportunity to work in a face paced environment. The role of the position is to assist in several areas of Source Vital's supply chain. Attention to detail is one of the most important qualities required of the position. Teamwork and high energy is required. This role is perfect for college students looking to learn more about supply chain processes, warehouse and business operations and end-to-end product production. Open to flexible hours. Full -time and part-time opportunities available.


  • Operation, assembly and cleaning of product filling equipment
  • Monitor product and packaging component inventory
  • Operation of automatic labeling equipment
  • Perform Quality Assurance checks during all phases of packaging
  • Perform order fulfillment and verification
  • Maintain cleanliness of filling rooms, equipment & production utensils
  • Assist in label production


  • Basic mechanical knowledge
  • Able to lift up to 55lbs
  • Ability to follow established manufacturing, production, safety and supply chain processes
  • Working knowledge of basic computer programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a high paced atmosphere
  • Detail oriented attitude
