OWNER/CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Paul "rejoined" Source Vitál in June of 2015 when he purchased majority ownership of the company. In his role as CEO, Paul oversees all aspects of the business, including Sales, Marketing, Production & Operations, and Product Development. 

During his time as CEO to date, he has lead efforts to launch new products (such as Deozein Zest, Micellar Water and After Workout Spray), to re-brand the company as "Source Vitál Apothecary", to repackage the line with a "modern apothecary" look, and to overhaul the company's consumer marketing strategy.

PAST LIFE

Paul originally worked at Source Vitál from 1999 to 2004. In 1999, he served in roles in product assembly, production, and shipping before transitioning to Internet Marketing Director. Paul built and marketed the first collection of web sites for Source Vitál in 2000.

Paul also held a position as E-commerce Director at PopeHair.com. While in this role, PopeHair.com become the leading online retailer of hair and spa care products in the nation, including the top sales channel in the U.S. for several of the nation's top beauty brands.

In 2004, Paul left Source Vitál and PopeHair.com to join Houston-based start up WhiteFence, where he served as Vice President, Internet Marketing. There, he helped transition the business from a B2B white-label software platform into a growing direct-to-consumer E-commerce business, connecting millions of customers to products and services from AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, DIRECTV, and dozens more. While at WhiteFence, Paul helped deliver a strategy for growth that eventually led to a transactional exit to a competitor.

In 2008, Paul helped found Bounce Energy, a new retail energy provider serving the deregulated markets of Texas, Pennsylvania and New York. Beyond helping found the business, Paul served on the Executive Management Team with roles as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. At Bounce, Paul was responsible for all digital initiatives, including paid media advertising, search engine optimization (SEO), social media, digital user experience and content marketing. Paul also played a key role in the creation of the brand, email communication strategy, as well as mobile development. Paul conceptualized and developed many of the company’s proprietary business applications, including content management system, behavioral marketing rule engines, refer-a-friend program, tracking and reporting suite, and more. With revenues of more than $150 million, Direct Energy acquired Bounce Energy in August of 2013.

Paul joined Direct Energy post transaction as Director, Digital Marketing, where he was responsible for all digital customer acquisition channels (paid media, SEO, social media, digital business development and partnerships), online content and brand initiatives, as well as major mobile projects.

(Note: Beginning in 2004, Paul continued to serve as a special consultant to Jerry Pope for digital and marketing matters until Jerry passed away in 2012, when Paul joined Source Vitál’s Board of Advisors.)

EDUCATION

Paul has a BBA in Management Information Systems (MIS) with a minor in Marketing from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He also has an AAS in MIS from Lee College in Baytown, Texas.
