100% Pure & Natural Tea Tree Essential Oil

Botanical Name: melaleuca alternifolia

The tree, native to Australia, was introduced to the world by Captain Cook in 1770. The Aborigines used the crushed leaves as a poultice for infected wounds and skin problems.

Serious study of Tea Tree began after World War I and has grown since. Tea Tree is now a mainstay in holistic practices and every day use.

Uses of Tea Tree Essential Oil
  • Have a blemish, apply 1 drop directly on the blemish 3-4 times per day.
  • Mix 15 drops in 2 oz of water and put in spray bottle. Spray down bathroom and kitchen counters. If you don't like the smell, add a little Lavender or Orange essential oil.
  • Great for hot spots on pets. But be warned, they probably won't like the smell and will run the other way.
  • Apply a drop to insect bites to take the "sting" out.
  • Tea Tree is an excellent addition to your home first aid kit.

History and Background

Tea Tree is the most scientifically researched essential oil. The first published information was in 1925 by A.R. Penfold, a Australian government chemist.

One quote from those studies was “dissolved pus and left surfaces of infected wounds clear so that its germicidal action became more effective and without any apparent damage to the tissue.”
