Five Dollars from Every Deozein Natural Deodorant Sold in October will Benefit The Rose's Mission to Reduce Deaths Through Screens, Diagnostics and Treatment Services
HOUSTON – The sad truth is all women are at risk for developing breast cancer. To help raise awareness about the crucial need for prevention screenings, Source Vitál Apothecary will donate $5 from the sale of their best-selling natural deodorant to The Rose, a Houston-based non-profit that provides access to screenings, diagnostics and treatment services to any woman regardless of her ability to pay.
“We know early detection improves treatment options and chances of survival for those diagnosed with breast cancer, however many women in Texas don’t have the financial means or access to the preventative screenings that could save their lives,” said Paul Colgin, CEO of Source Vitál Apothecary. “Luckily, there are organizations like The Rose who have stepped up to fill in the gaps. They have served more than 500,000 patients in Southeast Texas and we are committed to helping them continue to their mission of reducing deaths from breast cancer.”
Founded in 1986, The Rose is the leading non-profit breast care health organization in Houston and its surrounding counties. The Rose offers breast cancer screening and diagnostics including ultrasounds, mammograms, biopsies, education and access to medical treatment.
“The Rose wouldn’t exist today without community support and our great local partners like Source Vitál,” said Dorothy Gibbons, CEO and Co-founder of The Rose. “Our mission is simple – no one should die simply because she couldn’t afford a mammogram. The most important thing we do is provide uninsured women access to treatment. We couldn’t do this without companies like Source Vitál stepping up and getting involved.”
To support The Rose during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Source Vitál has launched special pink-labeled editions of their all-natural deodorant and included The Rose’s logo on each bottle. As a part of this promotion, Source Vitál is pledging to donate $5 from each bottle of Deozein sold in October to The Rose.
Deozein Natural Deodorant is safe, easy to use, and free from potentially dangerous aluminums, and irritating ingredients such as baking soda and synthetic fragrance. It retails for $16.95, comes in a spray and roll-on formula, and available in three scents: original, Zest and Fresh.
As part of this breast cancer awareness campaign, Source Vitál also will launch a “Natural Deodorant Challenge” on social media. Natural deodorants, like Deozein, help to eliminate body odor without inhibiting the body’s natural detoxification efforts. Traditional antiperspirants can clog pores and prevent toxins from leaving the body.
Participants are encouraged to make the switch to a natural deodorant and enter the Natural Deodorant Challenge by signing up online here and sharing their experience on social media using the hashtag #NaturalDeodorantChallenge.
Participants who sign up for the Natural Deodorant Challenge will be entered to win:
- Weekly drawings to win: Year supply of Deozein Natural Deodorant
- Grand Prize:
- $1,000 donation in the winner’s name to The Rose (or in honor of a loved one)
- Year supply of Deozein Natural Deodorant
Winners will be chosen at random, those who share on social media using #NaturalDeodorantChallenge and tag a friend will receive additional entries into the contest.
