HOUSTON September 26, 2017 – In support of national breast cancer awareness month Houston-based skincare brand, Source Vitál Apothecary, will donate $5 from every sale of their best-selling all-natural deodorants to The Rose, a local non-profit breast health care organization.
The Rose offers breast cancer screening and diagnostics including ultrasounds, mammograms, biopsies and access to medical treatment. They have provided cancer screening and treatment services since 1986. Since their founding, The Rose has served nearly 500,000 patients, and is now the leading non-profit breast health care organization in Southeast Texas.
“This October, we are committed to helping save lives with The Rose, said Paul Colgin, CEO of Source Vitál Apothecary, “They provide access to quality breast health care for all, and we want to support their mission and better the lives of women in the Houston area and beyond.”
As part of this breast cancer awareness campaign, Source Vitál also will launch a “Natural Deodorant Challenge” on social media. Natural deodorants, like Deozein, help to eliminate body odor without inhibiting the body’s natural detoxification efforts. Traditional antiperspirants can clog pores and prevent toxins from leaving the body.
Participants are encouraged to make the switch to a natural deodorant and post their commitment on social media using the hashtag “#NaturalDeodorantChallenge,” where they will be entered to win a Source Vitál Apothecary gift basket that includes a $250 Source Vitál gift card, as well as a $1000 donation to The Rose in the winner’s name or to honor someone impacted by breast cancer. Weekly drawings, for a chance to win a year supply of natural deodorant will also be chosen from those who use #NaturalDeodorantChallenge on social media. Each post acts as an additional entry.
“Unfortunately, most people have been affected by breast cancer in some way,” said Colgin. “We hope this effort will help The Rose continue to raise awareness and provide excellent service to our community.”
