November is Men’s Health Awareness Month – a time to raise awareness about men’s health such as prostate and testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. According to The Movember Foundation, men die on average 5 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons.
Some of the reasons attributing to a premature life expectancy is a poor state of men’s health including:
- Lack of awareness and understanding of the health issues men face
- Men not openly discussing their health and how they’re feeling
- Reluctance to take action when men don’t feel physically or mentally well
- Men engaging in risky activities that threaten their health
- Stigmas surrounding mental health
- Lack of consistent wellness health checks. Men are 24% less likely than women to have visited a doctor within the past year

In an effort to honor and raise awareness and support men’s health causes, we are donating $1 for every Sir Vitál order in November to The Movember Foundation.
The Movember Foundation's goal is to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25% by 2030. They have funded more than 1,200 projects around the world supporting research and changing the way health services reach men.
