How To Help Manage Stress In Thirty Minutes (Or Less)

We’re always searching for the next best thing to help us manage stress. While we’re constantly juggling many aspects of our busy lives, caring for ourselves can end up on the back burner. These days, there’s constant talk about the concept of self-care, but have you considered that stress-care is self-care?
No matter how busy you are, there should always be time to take care of yourself. We’re here to show you how you can fit stress care into your life-whether it's one minute or thirty minutes.

If You Have One Minute…

Breathe. When tension occurs, we tend to breathe from our upper chest. Try taking a deep breath, letting your abdomen expand fully. Hold for three seconds. Let it out.
To encourage deeper breathing, apply 4-5 drops of Breathe Easy Natural Elixir onto the sinus areas, such as the forehead, nose, cheeks, and temples. This elixir can also be inhaled straight from the bottle.

Diffuse. Using a water diffuser or vaporizer with the right stress-relieving essential oils can boost your mood. Our Stress Relief Essential Oil is the perfect blend to increase feelings of calm, and lessen stress. Other great oils for stress-busting include Lavender, Ylang-Ylang, Bergamot, and Chamomile.
No diffuser? Add 10-15 drops of your favorite stress-relieving blend to a spray bottle of water for a natural air freshener.

Massage. The power of touch can help to release cortisol, the “stress hormone.” Indulging in a quick hand and forearm massage can give you a bit more of a calmer headspace. Our Lavender Body Lotion is the perfect remedy for when you just need a quick pick-me-up.
Start with a quarter-sized amount and gently rub the lotion on the hands. Cup your hands, and bring them to your nose, breathing in the calming scent.
Feeling extra generous? Follow up with our Lavender Tansy Roll-On to make the scent last longer, helping to propel you through your day. It’s compact enough to keep in your purse or your desk.

Bathe. At the end of a long day, a bath can be the perfect way to engage in stress care. For a gentle way to unwind and encourage deep relaxation, enjoy a warm bath with our Serene Bath and Body Oil and our Serene Bath Salts
More of a shower person? Apply 5-10 drops of our Stress Relief Bath and Body oil to your chest and step into a warm shower, breathing deeply. Continue your stress care with our Lavender Body Scrub, to help reveal softer, glowing skin, and follow up with our Lavender Body Wash
