History and Background

Myrtle, in ancient Greece, was associated with the Goddess of Love and Beauty, Aphrodite, as an aphrodisiac.The bravest men, whether they be soldiers, athletes, or royalty, were honored with wreaths of Mrytle leaves. It was also used for its medicinal properties. There are other historical mentions of this plant, both in mythology and aromatherapy.

Myrtle's aroma is clear, fresh, camphoraceous, and sweet-herbaceous, similar to Eucalyptus.
