Botanical Name: daucus carota sativa

Known as "Queen Anne's Lace", Carrot Seed oil helps in times of extreme stress and exhaustion. For skin care, it improves the look of your complexion and the feel of elasticity of the skin. Carrot Seed oil is rich in Carotene and Vitamin-A.

Uses of Carrot Seed Essential Oil

Add a few drops into a facial cream moisturizer to improve the look of your complexion.
Diffuse into an aromatic diffuser to create a relaxing atmosphere.
Add a few drops to your bath to create a nice, spiritual soak.
To assist with an itchy scalp, add 6 drops of Carrot Seed oil to 2 teaspoons of almond oil and massage into hair and scalp. Leave on for 5 minutes.
To help relieve the feeling of abdominal discomfort, combine Carrot Seed oil with safflower oil, and essential oils of peppermint and bergamot. Rub into affected area.

Originating in Afghanistan, this essential oil was valued for its medicinal properties. Carrot Seed is native to Asia, Europe and North Africa. In 16th century France, Carrot Seed was used for indigestion, liver aliments, and was grated and used on ulcers. The 17th century Dutch cultivated carrot seed.
