Allopathic uses:
Antiseptic, antispasmodic,
astringent, diuretic, expectorant, sedative (nervous),
stimulant (circulatory).
Indications:
Acne, dandruff, eczema,
psoriasis, insect repellent, arthritis, rheumatism,
bronchitis, catarrh, congestion, coughs, sinusitis,
cystitis, leuchorrhea, nervous tension, stress-related
disorders.
Holistic uses:
In Chinese medicine, yang
energy, water element, tonic for Qi energy, tonifies kidney
and spleen-pancreas meridians, and drains cold dampness.
Helps transform a negative situation into a source of
strength and wisdom.
Contraindications:
Can cause local irritation
and sensitization. Use diluted with care and in moderation.
Do not use during pregnancy.
Blending:
Base note. Blends well with
lemon, eucalyptus, marjoram, naiouli, myrtle, mugwort,
patchouli, pine, sandalwood, spruce, vetiver. Gives woody
note to blends.
Chemical Components:
Cedrene, cedrol, thujopsene
and sabinene.
Characteristics:
Dark orange to golden brown
