Chamomile Mixta essential oil is pale yellow to brownish-yellow in color. The oil has a fresh-herbaceous top note, sweet rich-balsamic undertone, and an aromatic, slightly bitter aroma. The oil is extracted by steam distillation of the flowers. Chamomile Mixta has anti-spasmodic, sedative, calming, emmenagogue, and hepatic properties. Chamomile Mixta has been used to treat: sensitive skin, headache, insomnia, migraine, irritability, menopause, liver and spleen congestion, colitis, colic, and depression. Ingredients We Use #46: Wintergreen

Wintergreen oil is colorless to pale yellow in color, sometimes with a pinkish tint. When older the oil can turn reddish brown and should not be used. Wintergreen has an intense, sweet-woody, aroma with a hint of vanilla. Extraction of oil: Steam or water distillation from leaf. Prior to extraction, leaves are macerated in warm water which releases essential from which oil is distilled. Wintergreen is a mild analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antirheumatic, and astringent. Elecampane essential oil is brilliant green to blue-green in color. Elecampane has a dry, soft, and woody scent. The oil is extracted by steam distillation from dried roots and rhizomes and sometimes the whole plant. Elecampane is a high grade mycolytic, and is quite useful in treating hardend sinus mucus, coughs, bronchitis, breathing problems, skin rashes, and eruptions.
