Chamomile Mixta essential oil is pale yellow to brownish-yellow in color. The oil has a fresh-herbaceous top note, sweet rich-balsamic undertone, and an aromatic, slightly bitter aroma. The oil is extracted by steam distillation of the flowers. Chamomile Mixta has anti-spasmodic, sedative, calming, emmenagogue, and hepatic properties. Chamomile Mixta has been used to treat: sensitive skin, headache, insomnia, migraine, irritability, menopause, liver and spleen congestion, colitis, colic, and depression.
